Victoria Diagnostic Imaging provides comprehensive Radiology services in Victoria. Company offers X-ray, Ultrasound, CT scan and BMD (DEXA) at Carrum Downs, Hampton Park, Clyde North and Rowville clinics.
The Role
This is for a full-time role with an annual salary at $85,000 - $95,000 plus superannuation and will be based in Hampton Park clinic.
Responsibilities
* Managing patients and operating different medical imaging equipment.
* Optimize the settings on various imaging devices such as X-ray machines and CT scanners.
* Compute critical factors such as exposure duration, radiation dose, and contrast levels for imaging procedures.
* Explain imaging processes to patients, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
* Take necessary measures to ensure patient comfort and protection from unnecessary radiation.
* Relay important findings and diagnostic images to reporting Radiologist promptly and clearly for reporting.
* Regularly check and maintain imaging equipment for correct and safe functioning.
* Record details of imaging procedures and findings for patient records and future reference.
* Adhere to established safety standards and protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
* Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with advancements in radiography and medical imaging technologies.
Requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography)
* At least 2 years of general X-ray and CT experience is essential
* At least 2 years' experience in using digital imaging technologies and software for processing, storing, and retrieving images
* At least 2 years' experience in operating various imaging devices including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound equipment
* At least 2 years' experience assessing image quality and applying corrective imaging techniques
* Hold a valid and current AHPRA registration
* Hold a Victorian radiation license
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and a patient focused approach
* Working rights in Australia
