Job title: Key Worker
Location: Rockingham
Employment Type: Full time or Part time (4 days per week)
Responsibilities
- Deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life-changing outcomes.
- Support before/after school appointments as essential engagement times for therapy.
- Work in the social model, delivering therapy in diverse settings (homes, schools, playgrounds, community centres).
- Attend initial family appointments, using assessment and communication skills to understand goals.
- Collaborate with a preschool/kinder teacher to support motor development and with a Speech Pathologist and family to support communication and social skills.
- Coach parents in finding a school that best meets their child\'s needs and build meaningful relationships with participants, families, carers, and friends.
- Document and bill for each session through our online participant management system.
- Provide after-school support to establish consistent routines for children aged 5 and under where applicable.
- Attend weekly hub team meetings and engage with clinical knowledge sharing and mentoring.
- Participate in mentoring sessions to build knowledge of Assistive Technology and behavioural support strategies.
Who We Are Looking For

- If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
- If you are a Physiotherapist, you will have a degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration
- If you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
- If you are an Educator, you will have a Bachelor or Master\'s degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Special Education
- If you are a Social Worker, you will have a Bachelor or Master\'s degree in Social Work and eligible for AASW membership
- Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families
- Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills and be a team player
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
- A valid Australian drivers license
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments
