Community Care Support Officer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Care Support Officer to join our team in the South Zone. As a key member of our Community Care team, you will provide vital administrative and data support across all community services programs within the South Zone.
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive office support to staff working across NATSIFAC, Home Care Program, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
* Ensure efficient, professional, and timely completion of tasks across all Southern zone community care sites.
* Prepare a range of documents including letters, memos, case notes, training materials, and reports; manage photocopying, collation, and binding as needed.
* Maintain essential registers such as Chemical, PPE, Visitor Sign-in/out, and manage supplier lists for ordering client consumables and equipment.
* Record and distribute Community Service Staff Meeting minutes; provide weekly updates to the Community Care Zone Manager – South.
* Coordinate weekly Microsoft Teams meetings with community services team leaders to address vehicle, asset, IT, and service delivery needs.
* Travel regularly to remote communities to provide on-site support, ensuring staff are equipped to work in challenging conditions.
* Maintain accurate client profiles in Etools, ensuring data, files, reports, and pricing are consistently reviewed and updated.
* Assist Team Leaders in completing compliant Shift Reports for the Finance & Compliance Coordinator – South Zone.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in administrative support, coordination, and facilitation.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a respectful and culturally sensitive approach.
* Ability to work effectively in remote, culturally diverse environments, respecting the values and beliefs of participants and their families.
* Flexibility and enthusiasm for undertaking varied tasks that support the wellbeing of participants and consumers.
* Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality at all times.
* Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in managing conflict and problem-solving.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively to remote communities.
* Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing workloads.
* Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.
