Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining Council's roads, bridges, footpaths, and drainage assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading a team of technical officers in conducting regular inspections of infrastructure assets (e.g., roads, drainage, bridges, culverts, footpaths, kerbs)
* Identifying, assessing, and documenting asset defects and conditions using industry standards (e.g., TMR, RMPC)
* Maintaining accurate records in Council's asset management systems and ensuring data quality
* Collaborating with engineers, works supervisors, and other stakeholders to develop long-term asset management plans
* Analyzing inspection findings to prioritize maintenance and renewal works based on asset priorities and available resources
* Providing technical input into capital works planning and lifecycle costing
* Assisting with scheduling and planning works based on asset priorities and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
* Monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
Requirements:
* Experience in engineering, civil construction, asset inspections, or infrastructure maintenance preferably within local government
* Knowledge of TMR standards and RMPC requirements or willingness to learn and apply them
* Leadership and supervisory experience managing teams of technical officers
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
* A current C Class Driver's Licence and White Card
