Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at the Fosterville Underground Gold Mine. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our equipment fleet.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment, preferably in a mine site environment. A recognized Trade Certificate is also required.
In this role, you will be expected to:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns
* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with heavy mining equipment
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience working on Sandvik Drill rigs (advantageous).
* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
