Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
Duties include:
- Determining product mix, stock levels, and service standards to meet customer needs. - Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies while setting competitive prices. - Promoting and advertising the establishment's goods and services to attract and retain customers. - Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use to enhance satisfaction. - Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and sales performance. - Undertaking budgeting and financial planning to ensure the profitability of the establishment. - Controlling the selection, training, and supervision of staff to build a skilled and motivated team. - Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Retail Management or a relatedor relevant field (or equivalent qualification). - At least three years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications. - Proven experience in a leadership role within a retail environment. - Strong skills in budgeting, stock management, and staff supervision. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities. - A customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
