What's the role?
As a Senior Investigator within Group Investigations (GI), you'll lead and deliver investigations into serious misconduct and whistleblower disclosures across the Westpac Group.
You'll conduct complex, sensitive investigations in line with GI's Standard Operating Procedures and principles of procedural fairness. This includes planning and executing investigations, collecting and analysing evidence, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring all case documentation meets governance and quality standards.
You'll deliver outcomes safely by applying sound judgement and confidentiality, make an impact by addressing serious conduct risks, and own investigations end‐to‐end from allegation through to reporting and closure.
This is a permanent role, based in Sydney or Melbourne with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office).
What do I need?
* Strong experience managing employee conduct investigations, ideally within commercial banking or the broader financial services sector, with exposure to regulatory, legal, law enforcement, or HR‐led investigations advantageous
* Demonstrated capability leading serious misconduct and/or financial crime investigations
* Experience investigating whistleblower disclosures (highly regarded)
* Proven ability to gather, analyse and document evidence, and prepare clear investigation reports
* Proven ability to deliver outcomes safely by identifying, understanding, and acting on material risks with practical, tailored solutions
