Medical Officer | Medical Registrar | $190 per hour | Adelaide
An exciting opportunity is available for a Medical Officer or Medical Registrar to join a new and innovative private acute care service delivered by a progressive healthcare operator in Adelaide.
This service supports patients transitioning from hospital who remain clinically complex, including a significant proportion of post-operative patients.
Care is delivered in a purpose-built environment outside the traditional public hospital system, with strong clinical governance and senior medical oversight.
Located close to the Adelaide city centre, this role offers the chance to continue practising high-quality acute medicine with predictable hours and no overnight work.
About the Role
$190 per hour
9:00am – 5:30pm shifts
Service operates 7 days per week with a shared rotating roster
Full-time or part-time options available (minimum 3 days per week)
Work within a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and allied health
Senior clinician oversight and support provided
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical care to acute and post-acute patients in recovery
Manage clinically complex patients outside a traditional ward environment
Collaborate closely with nursing and allied health teams
Escalate care appropriately within established clinical governance frameworks
Contribute to the ongoing development of a modern acute care model
About You
Medical Officer or Medical Registrar with recent acute care experience
General registration with AHPRA
Confident managing clinical complexity in a supported, non-hospital setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Doctors from other specialty backgrounds (including GP Registrars) will be considered, provided they have relevant and recent experience working in the acute care sector.
