To support the daily operations and uphold its strong reputation for quality food and service, The Trustee for THE PARK HOTEL UNIT TRUST, is seeking a skilled and qualified Chef to join its kitchen team. The Chef will play a key role in food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to the consistency and excellence.
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000AUD
Location : 12 WATTON STREET, WERRIBEE VIC 3030
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present a range of high-quality dishes.
* Ensure consistency, flavour accuracy, and presentation quality across all dishes produced.
* Lead, manage, and supervise cooks and kitchen hands to maintain an efficient workflow and smooth service during daily operations and peak periods.
* Contribute to inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering, and monitoring ingredient quality and freshness.
* Oversee daily mise en place, ensuring all stations are adequately prepared for service.
* Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, food safety compliance, and occupational health and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff to uphold high culinary and operational standards.
Requirements
* Relevant educational qualification in commercial cookery or at least relevant work experience as a Chef.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills.
* Passion for food, teamwork, and delivering a high-quality dining experience.
