Join our community The Marketing Officer - Community Engagement will play a key role in deepening connection between Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School and its wider community.
With a focus on alumni relations, community groups (such as the P&F), sponsorship, and fundraising initiatives, this role will also contribute meaningfully to the School's brand strategy and communications.
This role is ideal for an experienced communicator and relationship builder who can take initiative, work independently, and provide insight and hands-on support within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities Alumni & Community EngagementCo-ordinate and grow the Old Grammarians' Association (OGA) program, including reunions, networking events, digital communications and alumni profilingIdentify ways to strengthen alumni engagement and encourage future enrolment from OGA familiesMaintain and manage the OGA section of the websiteWork collaboratively with the OGA Committee to plan and deliver the OGA 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2026, including major events and legacy storytelling initiativesParents & Friends (P&F) Association LiaisonAct as the key point of contact for the School's P&F AssociationProvide support for P&F event promotion and community engagementSupport the delivery of key P&F events in collaboration with volunteers and School staffFundraising & SponsorshipSupport the delivery of fundraising initiatives such as the Annual Giving campaignCo-ordinate stewardship activities and assist in identifying new donor and sponsorship opportunitiesDevelop and manage donor communication strategies and collateralAssist in the planning and delivery of stewardship events, including those annual events acknowledging volunteers and donorsCommunications & BrandSupport the School's brand refresh and upcoming website redevelopment through storytelling, tone-of-voice development, and community-aligned messagingAssist with crafting clear, consistent communications across multiple platforms, including social media, EDMs, and school publicationsEvent Support and Co-ordinationExecute school events as outlined in the School CalendarSELECTION CRITERIA Essential Demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement or similarExcellent writing skills and confidence in creating content across digital and traditional channelsProven ability to build and manage relationships with a range of stakeholdersStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and projectsHigh level of initiative and autonomyDesirable Experience with alumni relations, donor stewardship or sponsorshipUnderstanding of school or not-for-profit environmentProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing tools, and website CMS platformsWORKING CONDITIONS Part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE negotiable)Some evening/weekend work may be required to support community eventsWorking days and hours can be negotiated for the right candidateREPORTING & COLLABORATION
This role reports to the Marketing and Events Manager and works closely with the Marketing Officer, Admissions Manager, and other relevant School staff and volunteer groups.
