The role
Project Manager | Land Development | Circa $155k Super If you've spent the last decade moving between design and delivery, and you're at the point where you want to own projects properly; this is worth reading. A well-regarded Melbourne engineering consultancy has created space at the (Senior?) Project Manager level following an internal promotion. They're looking for someone who understands the work, not just the Gantt chart; someone whose design background gives them credibility with the technical team and sharpens their judgement on the projects themselves. You'll lead land development projects end to end; early feasibility through to delivery, working alongside talented designers, planners, and specialist consultants. The pipeline is established and the clients are serious: Stockland, Frasers, Satterley, ID Land, plus a strong mix of smaller developers who often move faster and who sometimes demand more. What's on the table Circa $155k Super; calibrated to what you bring A genuine, funded project pipeline. You won't be manufacturing work to stay busy Real autonomy to own your projects without being second-guessed at every turn A team you'll want to show up for on Monday morning Predominantly office-based; the construction team handle site engineering with your oversight What they're looking for Around 8 to 12 years of experience, maybe more, with a meaningful chapter in a design role before you transitioned into PM. We want someone who's been on both sides of the fence and can hold their own in a technical conversation. Strong greenfield residential land development experience is essential. You know the lifecycle, the stakeholders, and where the pressure points sit. CPEng or NER status, or well on your way. Worth noting on salary: the range is real, but it's anchored to experience. If you're a few years short, they may still want you; it's worth a conversation. Sound like you? Call Miriam on 0447 042 897 or email Miriam.Taylor@sonda.com.au
