On 1 January 2026, Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health and Nexus Primary Health merged to form a new, unified not‐for‐profit community health organisation, Omnia Community Health. This decision followed an extensive exploration process that confirmed the merger will improve access to safe, high‐quality and sustainable health and community services across the Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas.

The new organisation brings together the deep community connections, shared values and specialist expertise of both entities. Services span general practice, allied health, disability support, mental health, early childhood, family services, aged care and community wellbeing. These services are delivered from sites in Broadford, Kinglake, Kyneton, Romsey, Seymour, Sunbury and Wallan, with additional outreach into surrounding communities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced grade 2 or grade 3 occupational therapist to join our Children's Allied Health Team (West 1) in a team leader role.

This senior position offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical leadership, workforce development, and operational responsibility, while maintaining a small, purposeful clinical caseload. The role has a strong focus on student coordination, clinical supervision, consultation-based service delivery, and team leadership, particularly within School Readiness Funding (SRF) and early childhood settings.

Appointment will be made at Grade 2 or Grade 3, depending on experience and suitability for the role.

Key Features of the Role
* Grade 2 or grade 3 Occupational Therapist – Team Leader
* Location: The role is based primarily in Sunbury, with a minimum of one regular day per week in Romsey
* Provide clinical and professional leadership to occupational therapists across three teams
* Liaise with universities and coordinate occupational therapy student placements
* Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and support to clinicians and students
* Coordinate and deliver School Readiness Funding (SRF) sessions, including coaching and upskilling educators
* Contribute to operational leadership, including service coordination, workflow planning, and quality improvement activities
* Lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, audiologists, music therapists, and allied health assistants
* Professional development and study leave opportunities, plus salary packaging ($15.9k)
A typical day may include:
* Leading and supporting the occupational therapy team through clinical supervision, mentoring, and guidance
* Coordinating occupational therapy student placements and maintaining university partnerships
* Supporting service operations and performance, including caseload oversight, service planning, and problem-solving
* Coordinating SRF programs and delivering coaching and professional development to kindergarten teachers and educators
* Participating in case conferencing, team meetings, and service development discussions
* Providing a small amount of direct clinical work through joint consultations, including specialised targeted assessment (as required)
About You
* Qualified occupational therapist with a minimum of 5 years' clinical experience
* Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, supervision, or team coordination
* Interest or experience in operational leadership and service improvement
* Strong communication skills and confidence working across teams and stakeholders
