Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and labour teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and timeline.
Responsibilities include:
* Supervising daily mechanical activities on-site, including conveyor scope & associated activities.
* Ensuring all mechanical work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
* Coordinating with subcontractors, engineers, and other discipline supervisors to ensure seamless workflow.
* Monitoring manpower, materials, and equipment requirements to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
* Inspecting mechanical installations and conducting quality checks to ensure workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
* Preparing and maintaining site reports, logs, and documentation related to mechanical work progress and issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Extensive experience in mechanical supervision, particularly in conveyors/materials handling.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyor operations and maintenance.
* Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
