The Core Experiences crew works on the very core products within our Digital domain and specifically on Netbank and the award-winning retail banking app - Commbank Mobile.
You have knowledge spanning development and operations, including coding, infrastructure management, engineering, and DevOps toolchains in a DevSecOps environment in AWS. Together we will build tomorrow's bank today, using world-leading engineering, technology, and innovation.
This role involves leading and promoting continuous improvement in Python, Android and iOS engineering practices, enhancing solution quality by implementing industry best practices, collaborating with technical leaders and product owners to document changes and drive initiatives, mentoring and guiding engineers to develop well-tested, maintainable code, making key technical decisions in design and architecture, translating them into practical solutions, partnering with stakeholders to shape technical direction, advise on technologies, and support complex integrations and AI enablement.
About The Role
* Lead Engineering Practices: Lead and promote continuous improvement in Python, Android and iOS engineering practices.
* Enhance Solution Quality: Enhance solution quality by implementing industry best practices.

Requirements
* Full-Cycle Engineer: Full-cycle engineering experience: ideation, technical design, build, testing (unit, integration, system, NFT), release, and maintenance.
* Technical Leadership: Ability to provide high-level designs and technical leadership for squads.
* Engineering Standards: Commitment to championing engineering standards and educating peers.
* Operational Metrics: Ability to understand and implement operational metrics.
* Backend APIs: Proven experience developing backend APIs and services using Python is essential.
* Mobile Development: Good to have: Experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and Android using Kotlin/Java OR Willingness to learn mobile stacks (iOS and Android).
* Architecture Patterns: Strong knowledge of architecture patterns, concurrency, scalability and accessibility.
* LLM Infrastructure: Deep understand and exposure to building Agentic LLM infrastructure.
* CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Teamcity enterprise, Artifactory enterprise, GitHub, GitHub Actions).
* Public Cloud: Knowledge of public cloud and backend APIs and systems.
* AWS Experience: AWS experience including but not limited to ECS, EC2, VPCs, ALBs, IAM, Lambda and API Gateway.
