Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.
We are transforming how customers experience Mobile and Connected products, and operational excellence is crucial to making that happen. As a Product Manager – Growth, you'll turn product strategy into precise, scalable and customer‐safe execution across systems, processes and teams.
You'll be the operational architect behind mobile offers and changes — ensuring every detail is accurate, every risk is identified early, and every launch lands seamlessly. If you thrive on clarity, structure, problem‐solving and being the go‐to person for getting things right, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
* Deliver flawless operational execution for all product offers and changes, ensuring complete end‐to‐end accuracy.
* Build and maintain monitoring frameworks, daily validation checks and operational controls.
* Develop dashboards and reporting (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik) to track customer outcomes and operational performance.
* Create customer‐journey and operational mapping artefacts that define every step of the execution lifecycle.
* Apply structured operational frameworks (such as FISH, SIPOC or similar root-cause and process-diagnostic models) to methodically identify risks, quantify impact, and clearly articulate both customer-facing and operational risk profiles. Use these frameworks to support consistent decision‐making, early issue detection and high‐quality execution across all changes.
* Use operational analysis models to break down complex processes, pinpoint failure modes, assess value‐at‐risk, and inform prioritisation across teams.
* Uphold governance, regulatory and customer‐safety standards across all operational builds.
* Produce bulletins and documentation to support offer creation across Mobile & Connected portfolios.
* Use insights and reporting to continuously improve processes and future operational design.
* Grow into the organisation's operational implementation expert for complex changes and new initiatives.
What makes you perfect
* Proven experience in product operations, product delivery or telco execution roles.
* Strong BI, reporting and dashboarding experience (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik).
* Skilled in operational documentation, process mapping and customer‐journey artefact creation.
* High attention to detail with strong planning, organisation and risk awareness.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity, shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
* Strong problem‐solving mindset with proactive identification of risks and gaps.
