This position is designed to create tangible impact through functional software. You'll leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to construct full-stack solutions that address genuine challenges—not simply complete task lists. You'll be required to deliver rapidly while maintaining standards, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with long-term sustainability.

What You Will Be Doing
* Design and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Drive user stories from conception through production; define requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, execute comprehensive testing, and release to live environments
* Identify and Resolve Defects: Conduct root cause investigations on issues, address underlying problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through strategic testing practices
* Elevate Code Standards: Conduct reviews of technical plans and pull requests to validate clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt at the source
What You Won't Be Doing
* Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems as ends in themselves
* Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying challenge
* Spending time in prolonged meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders
* Simply delivering features; your mandate is solving meaningful problems
Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities
* Leveraging AI to create software that addresses genuine user needs, ships quickly, and remains sustainable over time
Basic Requirements
* A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
* Proven ownership: Track record of owning entire modules, product capabilities, or teams—not merely executing isolated tasks
* Self-sufficient execution: Capability to remove blockers independently, establish your own momentum, and navigate forward in uncertain environments
* Practical experience applying generative A.I. in your regular development workflow

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
