The Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail‐oriented Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic payroll team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the payroll function, ensuring smooth pre‐payroll activities, addressing payroll queries, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
* Support Pre‐Payroll Activities: Assist with administrative tasks for both fortnightly and monthly pay cycles to ensure smooth payroll processing.
* Answer Payroll Queries: Act as a first point of contact for level 1 payroll queries, providing helpful and clear guidance on payroll-related issues.
* Coordinate Employee Benefits: Assist with the coordination and implementation of employee benefits, ensuring timely and accurate administration.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with key legislative changes and support ongoing improvement within the payroll team.
Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across People & Culture, Finance, Tax, and external vendors, offering exceptional customer service.

What We're Looking For
* Essential Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a payroll or administrative role, preferably in a large, fast‐paced environment with over 1000 employees.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle diverse payroll queries and provide clear, accurate information.
* Team‐Oriented: A positive, flexible attitude with a strong ability to work as part of a team.
* Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
* Problem‐Solving: Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Desirable Experience
* Familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday.
* Must have full working rights to work permanently in Australia.
