About the Role

We are seeking a part‐time (70 hours a fortnight) Maintenance Officer to join our Residential Aged Care facility in Marsfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed to support high‐quality service delivery, including the upkeep and maintenance of the property, land‐based assets, plant and equipment.
Responsibilities
* Provide basic general maintenance repairs (electrical & plumbing, carpentry and building)
* Complete gardening maintenance tasks (sweeping, hosing, keeping the outside of buildings clean and tidy, mowing lawns, hedging and general garden maintenance)
* Undertake and oversee Preventative Maintenance relating to buildings, property and assets in accordance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance Calendar specific to each location
* Undertake and oversee Reactive Maintenance relating to buildings, property and assets as directed across the designated area of responsibility
* Monitor and action all Maintenance works to ensure regulatory compliance across the designated area of responsibility
* Comply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
Requirements
* Current driver's licence
* Computer skills
* Ability to work under minimum supervision
* Experience as a Maintenance Person in Retirement Living (preferred)
* Previous experience in either building, fitter and turner, welder or plumber (desirable)
* Trade qualification (desirable)
