About the role.
Are you organised, proactive, and looking to take ownership in a fast-paced logistics environment? Join McCain as a Logistics Administrator and play a key role in our national supply chain team. Based in Ballarat or Melbourne, in this dynamic role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all aspects of vehicle assignments across our network of 3PL linehaul carriers, ensuring efficient, compliant inventory distribution by working directly with our transport and warehouse partners. You will respond to changes in real time, support daily operational improvements, and engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders to keep our logistics operations running smoothly.
What you'll be doing.
* Coordinate and monitor vehicle load planning, ensuring accurate scheduling and delivery.
* Execute daily replenishments and DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) activities.
* Communicate and collaborate with warehouses, transport providers, and internal teams.
* Respond to changes or issues, providing after-hours support for urgent matters as needed.
* Maintain records to support compliance and safety requirements, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and mass management.
* Track transport performance and support reporting and process improvements.
* Engage with stakeholders to resolve challenges and drive efficiency.
What you'll need to be successful.
* Experience in supply chain, logistics, load planning, or a related field; or have relevant study or transferrable skills from similar roles.
* Experience in frozen food, FMCG, transport, or logistics environments is an advantage.
* Understanding of transport compliance and CoR is an advantage.
* Exposure to SAP, Oracle, WMS, or similar systems, and comfortable using Excel (advance skills not required)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable picking up the phone to coordinate with partners.
* Skilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
* Flexibility to manage out-of-hours issues and competing deadlines
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills in fast-paced settings
