Remuneration:

* Psychologist: $1,541.85 - $1,899.38 per week
* Clinical Psychologist: $2,177.46 - $2,654.00 per week
* Counsellor Lvl 3: $2,240.23 - $2,312.82 per week
* Social Worker Lvl 3: $2,240.23 - $2,312.82 per week
* Senior Psychologist: $2,375.95 - $2,574.58 per week

+ 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging + Flexible Working (subject to approval)

Achieve Something Great
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Staff Counsellor to join our Staff Wellbeing & Support Service (Internal EAP), providing confidential counselling support to staff across the district.This district-wide role (12months maternity leave cover) provides counselling and early intervention support to staff working at Liverpool Hospital and Fairfield Hospital, with flexibility to support staff across other district services as required. The role focuses on trauma-informed, short-to-medium term counselling and contributes to a psychologically safe workplace culture.

The ideal candidate should be able to bring a calm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach when working with staff in distress. They should be able to foster strong professional boundaries and have a clear understanding of confidentiality within an internal EAP setting. The ideal candidate's communication and interpersonal skills should allow them to engage confidently with a diverse workforce, while their collaborative and flexible approach supports effective multidisciplinary teamwork. Additionally, candidates who align with our organisational values and are genuinely committed to fostering staff wellbeing and psychological safety across the workplace are welcome.




Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.




1. An AHPRA registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker or Counsellor with a minimum of 5 years' experience who has eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) or Australian Psychological Society (APS) as relevant and relevant qualifications as specified in essential criteria.
2. Demonstrated extensive experience in providing critical incident support and psychological first aid with both individuals and groups following a traumatic work related incident or event.
3. Demonstrated ability as a committed team member to work collaboratively, openly and respectfully within multidisciplinary teams, including the ability to both support and empower the SWSS team towards high quality clinical services.
4. Highly developed Information, Communication & Technology skills adequate for general business and service improvement including report writing, clinical case management, program/project development, seminar presentations, online platforms and app based programs and other organizational activities.
