Operations Manager – Homebush Markets
Perfection Fresh Australia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join our team at Homebush Markets. As a key member of the Trading Floor department, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within our organisation.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Trading Floor department.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operations staff to achieve departmental goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
* Monitor and analyse operational KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
* Push our safety culture within the teams.
* Ensure capability of the team through innovative ongoing development.
* Manage inventory levels, procurement processes, and supply chain activities effectively.
* Contribute to the development of annual budgets and manage expenses within the approved budget.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in operations management within the fresh produce or food industry.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
* Strong understanding of trading floor operations and market dynamics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
* Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
* Experience in inventory management and supply chain logistics.
* Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for operational efficiency.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
