Merrigong Theatre Company is a not-for-profit company operating Wollongong’s Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC), and the Wollongong Town Hall. We create, commission, produce and present exciting, innovative professional theatre all year round.
Our Food and Beverage Team deliver a fantastic Food & Beverage service through our 4 bars and our café, providing a great visitor experience for all of our customers. It’s a busy, interesting environment and we have a strong team culture which is supportive and inclusive.
The Role
We are now looking for a hospitality professional to support our busy operations and supervise our service teams. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years\' experience providing food and beverage services in a café/restaurant environment, with at least 1 year in supervisory capacity. You will have bar experience and hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate. You will be passionate about providing high quality service and have strong communication skills and attention to detail.
We offer a flexible roster dependent upon service requirements, which will include some evening and weekend work. We also offer complimentary tickets to shows, opportunities for development and a free Employee Assistance Program.
Salary range: $70,000 – $74,000 inc. super
Responsibilities
- Support busy operations and supervise Food & Beverage service teams across four bars and a café.
- Provide high quality customer service and maintain attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Assist with roster planning and service delivery to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience providing food and beverage services in a café/restaurant environment.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Bar experience and a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
