We are seeking the expertise of an energetic and driven Marketing Coordinator to play a key role in driving our School's digital presence and community engagement strategy. This position is responsible for delivering innovative and impactful marketing initiatives across digital platforms, including social media management, website content, and online advertising, while ensuring alignment with the school's strategic objectives. A core focus of the role is the planning and execution of community engagement events that strengthen relationships with the School community and IGS Early Learners. The role also supports the development and implementation of data-driven marketing campaigns, digital analytics, and content strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to ensure seamless operational delivery of the marketing plan and a professional, friendly, and efficient service to the School community.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the operational delivery of the marketing plan for Ipswich Grammar School and IGS Early Learners under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Community;
Support the execution of campaigns, launches, and key marketing initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic objectives;
Create and edit engaging digital content, including short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), graphics, and carousels;
Support content creation across digital channels, highlighting student and staff achievements through photography, video, and storytelling;
Draft articles, and written content to support marketing activities and enhance brand engagement;
Monitor and report on digital analytics (e.g., social media insights, Google Analytics) to inform marketing decisions and improve engagement;
Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, adhering to style and messaging guidelines;
Assist with marketing automation workflows and email communications using platforms such as Mailchimp, Schoolbox, and Digistorm;
Coordinate the organisation of community engagement events, including invitations, guest administration, bookings, guest lists, and seating plans;
Support event sponsorship activities and ensure sponsor deliverables are met;
Contribute to the planning and promotion of events such as regional shows, school expos, and open days, including pre-event, on-site, and post-event activities;
Undertake any other duties as directed by the Director of Marketing and Community.
Qualifications
a degree in marketing, communications or related field;
3-5 years experience in Marketing or related field;
Organisational, administrative and database skills and experience;
Ability to write marketing materials; and
Experience with Adobe suite products, Content Management Systems and other digital publishing.
