* HEW 5 - $82,344 p.a. (pro-rata) plus up to 17% superannuation
About the role
You will provide technical support, advice and services in practical student learning environments to staff and students across various disciplines in higher education. You will organise access and usage across a broad range of technical environments including but not limited to studios, theatres, exhibition, and other space maintained by technical services whilst contributing to ensuring quality service standards are adhered to within the Institute.
Responsibilities
* maintain accurate records of individual studio, theatre, and/or exhibition and other space maintained by technical services;
* ensure technical equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer's requirements;
* complete risk assessments for all studio, theatre, exhibition and other space maintained by technical services space, technical activities and equipment and ensure compliance;
* prepare and safely dispose of materials including hazardous substances and other wastes and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, processes and guidelines.
Qualifications
You will possess demonstrated experience in providing technical support services for a teaching studio, theatre, and/or exhibition space preferably in a tertiary education setting. In addition, you will have experience in coordinating the preparation, organisation and distribution of equipment, consumables and materials in studios, theatres, and/or exhibition spaces and other sites of teaching and research.
* knowledge and application of OH&S and EH&S responsibilities in studio, theatre, and/or exhibition space settings;
* ability to support academic staff with experimental designs and equipment to enable research, studios, theatres, and exhibition and other classes to run efficiently and effectively;
* ability to document and maintain a range of accurate technical records for teaching and research studios, theatres, and exhibition spaces and projects;
* organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise competing work demands and meet strict deadlines.
