About the role
Leckton Linings Pty Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Apprentice Carpenters to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in carpentry under the guidance of experienced professionals. This is a full-time position that will provide you with hands-on experience and formal training to kickstart your career in the trades industry.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting senior carpenters with a variety of tasks, including set out, external framing, internal framing, cladding, internal linings & feature timber work.
* Learning how to read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications
* Developing skills in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools
* Participating in on-the-job training and attending vocational education classes to acquire your carpentry apprenticeship
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
* Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
What we're looking for
* Passion for carpentry and a desire to learn and grow in the trades industry
* Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Commitment to completing your carpentry apprenticeship
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Willingness to work on construction sites and in various environments
