About the Role
The Acute Care Service Model of Care provides:
Mental health assessments and rapid response when indicated, determining appropriate care pathways.
Short-term intensive treatment in the community, often as an alternative to hospital admission.
In-reach support to hospitals to promote effective follow-up after mental health admissions.
Gatekeeping to develop opportunities for assessment and community treatment at key points.
Short-term treatment until acute symptoms resolve or the consumer is transferred and engaged with an appropriate treatment provider.
Ideal Candidate
Recognised tertiary qualifications appropriate to the profession.
Full registration and eligibility for membership to the relevant professional association.
Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
Current NSW driver's licence (P1 or P2 acceptable).
