Lead transformative policy and reform initiatives that shape the future of transport safety and services across the Territory.
Join the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure as Director Policy and Reform and provide strategic leadership for major initiatives and projects that improve service delivery to the public. You will drive the development and implementation of strategic frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with Northern Territory legislation, standards, and operational needs.
As a senior leader, you will:
* Lead the creation and amendment of transport, licensing, and vehicle legislation
* Collaborate with government and non-government stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
* Oversee consultation and stakeholder engagement for significant policy and reform actions
* Develop divisional communication materials and responses to media enquiries
* Build high-performing teams and ensure resources meet critical deadlines
* Provide expert advice on contemporary policy and reform initiatives
About You
* Highly developed skills in developing and implementing complex, broad-reaching policy and reform initiatives
* Strong business, strategic, and analytical skills with sound judgement in decision-making
* Proven experience collaborating and negotiating at a senior level across diverse stakeholders
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated high-level leadership and team building skills
* Desirable: Experience with government policy and reform in the Northern Territory; formal qualifications in management, business or law
