It is part of the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, collaborating to advance research and improve clinical care.Unit DescriptionThe Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS) provides hospital-based, community, and specialist services to diverse patient populations. Our Psychiatry Training Program offers a varied and successful training experience with numerous rotations and opportunities for research and further study.Role DetailsAccredited psychiatry training positions across all levels within various clinical settings, including inpatient units, community mental health teams, residential rehabilitation units, and emergency services.Opportunities to work in specialized areas such as First Nations Social & Emotional Wellbeing Services, forensic psychiatry, and research.Partnerships with Orygen Specialist Program, The Royal Children’s Hospital, Neuropsychiatry and Eating Disorder services, and the University of Melbourne Department of Psychiatry.Candidate RequirementsGeneral Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).Satisfactorily completed Stage 1 of RANZCP training.Desirable: Completed Stage 2 Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry rotation.Desirable: Completed Stage 2 Child-Youth-Adolescent rotation.A genuine passion for caring and making a difference in public mental health.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with consumers, families, carers, and professionals.Application ProcessInterested candidates should apply via The MH Careers Portal, submitting a resume and cover letter.
