We are seeking a Configuration Risk and Safety Manager to support a Federal Government department based in Canberra. The primary outcome of this position is to support to the Engineering Management System. The Engineering Management team are responsible for applying engineering process to the work that is conducted by the staff. This positions primary role is configuration and risk management with qualifications in an Engineering or Change and Risk discipline with specific accountability to the Chief Engineer with the management, coordination, development and support of engineering activities including configuration, risk and safety management.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Current ITIL Qualifications covering Foundations; Release, Control and Validation; and Release Management
* Extensive experience in Change Management and Risk management (ISO 31000).
* Extensive experience with design, build and test functions of secure C4I Systems, Networks and associated Software.
* Experience in maintaining and operating engineering design and systems competence and operations.
* Knowledge of National WHS legislative requirements and the departments Safety policies & standards including their applicability to Safety, Risk and Hazard management.
* Demonstrated evidence of working within, and leading, multi-discipline teams.
