Working hours
Dayshift: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Evening shift: 6:00 pm to 2:00 am
Must be available to work one Saturday per month.
Your Mission at Elis
* Undertake remedial engineering works to industrial laundry equipment on site as instructed by the Engineering Manager, repairing equipment safely and timely while ensuring production is regularly updated on progress.
* Provide knowledge and input into continuous improvement of plant, machinery and maintenance activities. Work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to identify improvement areas and deliver solutions through small projects.
* Ensure the company's disciplines, rules and standards are maintained.
* Improve equipment performance, reliability and running costs for replacement parts and consumables.
* Report any incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with Health and Safety Policies, ensuring that safe systems of work and best practice procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Ensure company assets are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency.
* Supervise contractors to ensure they work safely on site and comply with Health and Safety rules and procedures.
* Guarantee all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions and the SSG Health and Safety manual, and relevant engineering standards.
* Maintain excellent communication between Production staff and co‐workers, ensuring daily handover of ongoing activities and sharing relevant information and practices.
What will make you stand out?
* Minimum 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing/process environment.
* Engineering Level 3 and 4 NVQ qualification. A Higher National Diploma, C&G equivalent, or apprentice‐trained BTEC is an advantage.
* Skilled in both electrical and mechanical trades with knowledge of engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical circuits and the ability to comprehend relevant drawings and schematics.
* Self‐motivated, able to make decisions and react quickly to the needs of the business.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including use of MS Office.
* Record PPM information into a CMMS system accurately.
* A logical approach to fault finding with high attention to detail.
* Able to travel to offsite training facilities and other group factories as required.
Desirable Skills / Knowledge
* Previous industrial laundry experience.
* Steam systems and chemical water treatment – BG01 or BOAS accreditation.
* Water network and heat recovery systems.
* Electronic component fault finding and testing.
* BS 7671 IET wiring regulations.
* Inspection and testing C&G 2391‐52.
* Fabrication and welding.
* PTW risk assessor and contractor control.
* Legionella control, ACOP L8.
* Small to medium sized projects, 6 Sigma and Capex.
* IOSH managing safely.

Salary
Competitive salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience. The role offers many development opportunities and a friendly, supportive working environment.
