About the opportunity
Working Monday to Friday, based in Brisbane QLD, Altrad are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team and play a key role in demonstrating and facilitating a safe work environment whilst actively contributing to a positive safety culture. This position is office‐based in Brisbane, with regular site visits conducted as required.

In this role, you will:
* Promote a strong safety culture by coaching and mentoring site leadership and teams, including attendance at pre‐starts and guidance on Altrad Services pre‐start methodology.
* Plan and conduct regular site engagement through fortnightly visit schedules, routine safety inspections, and completion of Loss Prevention Inspections (LPIs).
* Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve site safety systems, programmes and compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
* Lead and support incident management, including investigations, AIR portal activities, reporting, and coaching teams on low‐level investigations.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and regulatory bodies, manage safety documentation and systems (including ChemAlert, AMS and SDS), and contribute to the development of safety policies and programmes.

About you
You're a proactive, eager, and results‐driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys contributing to meaningful outcomes.
Certificate IV in WHS/OH&S, HSEQ, Risk Management or a related discipline (Diploma preferred).
Minimum 3 years' experience in a HSE Advisor role, with strong exposure to operational environments.
Sound working knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards and best‐practice safety systems.
Demonstrated experience in environmental and hygiene monitoring, incident investigations and root cause analysis (e.g. ICAM, TapRooT).
Strong leadership and mentoring capability, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse, multi‐cultural workforce.
