Your new company Hays has partnered with a large coal organisation located in Queensland. This organisation focusses on safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
Your new role As a pivotal member of the team, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
* Employee Lifecycle Management: Enter new hires into SAP, support all facets of employment, and manage employment records.
* Onboarding and Training: Collaborate with hiring managers post-contract, support apprentice recruitment, and redefine onboarding processes.
* HR Initiatives and Projects: Assist with HR improvements, review and update policies, and coordinate enterprise agreements.
* Administrative Support: Manage the HR inbox, handle payment processing, and prepare employment checks and jury letters.
* Performance and Payroll Coordination: Track performance reviews, liaise with payroll, and manage wage subsidy claims.
What you will need to succeed
* Experience as an HR generalist in an advisory capacity
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Experience in a large organisation (preferred but not required)
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
