**About Ballarat Day Procedure Centre**
Ballarat Day Procedure Centre (BDPC) comprises of three operating theatres, 17 Day Oncology Chairs and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery and Dental. We treat over 10,000 patients each year throughout Ballarat, the Central Highlands and the Greater Western Victoria population.

We are now seeking to employ a permanent part time (30 hours per week) Quality Co-Ordinator to assist the Assistant Director of Nursing in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients undergoing day surgery and to act as a resource person for all staff at the centre. This role is critical to the ongoing success of BDPC and is highly valued by all staff.
**The Quality Co-Ordinator will be responsible for**:
- Coordinating and managing the Quality Activities Schedule, including conducting numerous internal audits under Quality Coordination responsibilities and organising delegated staff members to complete the required audit
- Coordinating activities in line with accreditation requirements and NSQHS Standards
- Assist in completion of NSQHS Monitoring tools and suggest actions for evidence
- Assist in AS:4187 and STEAM Infection Control requirements
- Ensuring audit templates are available with previous recommended action and compliance are entered and where not available, creating and reviewing these templates in conjunction with the centre management
- Ensures audits are entered into the RiskMan system or as otherwise stated (i.e., Monthly Dox documentation reviews)
- Assist in audit and maintenance scheduling and RiskMan entry in liaison with the centre management and the stores co-ordinator
- As a member of the Cura Quality Group, attends monthly meetings, ensures the Ballarat Day Procedure Centre is meeting requirements for the Quality Management Systems
- Assists other facilities with audit templates and any other shared investigations
- Other duties as deemed necessary
**To be successful in this position, you should be able to meet the following criteria**:
- 2 + years of experience in a quality management area, preference given to health care quality
- Qualifications in Business Administration or relevant field
- Quality control certification or seeking attainment of
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and quality management systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Data analysis and statistical aptitude highly desirable
- Good interpersonal skills
- Highly conscientious and diligent work ethic
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated initiative and a strong ability to work with others.
