As an Operations Coordinator within the ADF Health Services Contract (AHSC) team, you will provide critical administrative and coordination support to drive performance.
Your key responsibilities include ensuring smooth workforce operations by contributing to the optimisation of rosters, compliance, and reporting.
You will work closely with key stakeholders in your local region and as part of the National team servicing the AHSC support line that operates Monday – Sunday from 5:00 am to 10.00 pm.
Key tasks include:
* Managing unplanned leave absences and shift backfill.
* Overseeing the health workforce, including maintaining accurate staff listings.
* Facilitating leave approvals and contract changes.
* Processing locum assignments and coordinating travel/accommodation bookings.
* Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for staff.
* Ensuring compliance with mandatory training and readiness requirements.
* Collaborating with payroll to resolve roster-related queries and ensure accuracy.
* Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for internal and client use.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Strong attention to detail and exceptional data management skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong administrative capability and a confident, professional manner.
* Proficiency in MS Office, with solid Excel skills, and familiarity with tools like Power BI.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with staff and stakeholders.
* Previous administrative experience, ideally in a 24/7 operational environment.
* Experience in clinical and/or defence environments (highly regarded).
