Role: Project Engineer - Civil / Structural
Contract Length: Initial 12 month contract (high likelihood of extension)
Location: Port Kembla, NSW | Site-based
Hourly Pay: $110 + GST per hour

Role Overview
Join a leading ASX-listed industrial organisation delivering a major multi-year upgrade project. This role sits within a highly collaborative engineering team across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. This is a brownfield project within an operational plant, meaning you'll be working around existing structures and live environments requiring practical thinking, flexibility, and strong collaboration with construction teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop design concepts and progress them through to detailed design stages
* Work closely with drafting teams to translate concepts into deliverables
* Collaborate with construction teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
* Engage with internal stakeholders and project teams on design solutions
* Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks across the project
* Support delivery across various packages within a complex industrial environment
Must-Have Skills & Experience
* Experience as a Project Engineer with strong design capability (civil/structural)
* Background in brownfield or heavy industrial projects preferred
* Ability to take ownership of tasks and work through solutions independently
* Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders
* Exposure to design tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Space Gass, Ansys or similar
* Flexible mindset - able to shift priorities and juggle multiple workstreams
Nice to Have
* Experience working within operational plant environments
* Exposure to multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Experience supporting projects from concept through to delivery
