Level 2 Technician
We are seeking a Level 2 Technician with web hosting experience to play a crucial role in supporting CKI Group and MSP customers systems. The role is responsible for providing advanced technical support to ensure the stability and security of customers ICT environment, and assist with the implementation of best practice solutions that align with the company's digital operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Web Hosting Support: Diagnose and resolve server and hosting-related issues, oversee Cloudflare and DNS configuration, and support our development team in delivering fast, secure, and reliable websites.
* Advanced Tech Support: Provide Level 2 support for core systems, acting as an escalation point for Level 1 technicians and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
* Infrastructure Support: Assist in the maintenance and implementation of ICT infrastructure projects, contributing to customer digital transformation.
* Systems Maintenance: Support the maintenance and enhancement of customers ICT platforms, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Intune, CRM's, ensuring reliable performance.
* Network Assistance: Help oversee customers network infrastructure—switches, routers, firewalls—and collaborate with third-party providers to ensure secure connectivity.
* Backup and Recovery: Support the development and management of the backup and disaster recovery strategy, ensuring systems are protected and recoverable.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the ICT team, sharing knowledge and providing support to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
You:
As a skilled Level 2 Technician bringing expertise and innovation to our team, you:
* Monitor and manage server environments (cPanel / WHM)
* Diagnose & resolve site outages, performance issues, or server load spikes
* Manage PHP versions, resource limits, MySQL performance settings
* Configure and maintain DNS, SSL certificates, and Cloudflare settings
* Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, PHP errors, and CMS-level issues when needed
* Document server configurations, interventions, and recurring issues
* Have experience in supporting and maintaining complex systems, network infrastructure and ICT Security.
* Deliver security-focused ICT solutions that align with company goals.
* Identify and integrate emerging technologies and process improvements to support digital transformation.
* Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Ensure the ongoing stability, security, and efficiency of the company's ICT environment.
* Have high attention to detail; high levels of productivity; an ability to multitask; and an ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Impress with an ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Are flexible and resilient - able to easily adjust to changing priorities to suit the needs of your clients and stakeholders.
Selection Criteria:
Mandatory:
* Min 5 years' experience in ICT Role
* Min 3 years M365 / Azure experience
* Experience managing Linux web servers (CentOS, AlmaLinux, or similar)
* Strong understanding of cPanel / WHM administration
* Familiarity with Apache and/or NGINX configuration
* Understanding of MySQL performance and troubleshooting
* Experience configuring SPF / DKIM / DMARC + email deliverability setups
* Competent with Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, caching rules, firewall filtering)
* Comfortable diagnosing plugin/theme-level WordPress issues
* Ability to pick up systems quickly and be proficient in MS Office skills, particularly word, excel and CRM systems
* ISO27001 and ITIL experience
* Strong organisation skills
* Well presented with a professional and polished demeanor
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport and relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable:
* Experience with automation or monitoring tools
* Familiarity with containerised environments or CI/CD pipelines
* Scripting knowledge (bash, Python, or PHP)
* Network administration experience will be well regarded
* Microsoft or AWS Qualifications and/or work in this area would be highly regarded
* Diploma/Bachelor/Certificate of ICT Security or similar qualification.
