- _We are seeking highly motivated professionals to manage public sector procurements and commercial management functions in the Digital Services Division._
- _You will be responsible for procurement planning, tendering, contract formation and contract management activities, whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures. _
**Who we are**
The Digital Enabling Services Branch supports the operations of the Digital Services Division, through the delivery of corporate services and continued digital transformation. The branch includes a program management office, human resource services, financial management and support, commercial services, records management, ERP Systems, Web Systems, and the Ways of Working (WoW) Enablement Centre. The branch also includes the Shared Services Centre supporting administration of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with participating entities including cost-allocation, formal governance and drives efficiencies in the delivery of shared services.
The successful applicant(s) will operate within a small team - Commercial Services. Commercial Services is made up of ICT Contract Management and Procurement professionals who are responsible for providing high quality, cost effective and efficient advice to the Division, as well as facilitating procurement, contract management and tenders within a framework that meets statutory, accountability and reporting requirements. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of tasks, often with changing priorities and tight deadlines and is looking for enthusiastic individuals that can working within the team to drive our change agenda.
**The Job**
- Manage complex public sector procurement and commercial management
- Ensure the team undertakes all procurements, financial transactions and agreements are in line with the mandated Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines and departmental procedures.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Undertake research and analysis and contribute to the preparation of discussion papers, risk assessment plans, contract management plans and reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to negotiate and influence confidently.
- Represent and negotiate on behalf of the Department at commercial meetings and briefings.
- Support and promote a customer focused, respectful, and supportive workplace culture.
- Plan workloads and coordinate to effectively deliver projects that achieve outcomes.
- Manage and monitor own workflows and provide leadership within the team.
- Provide training and guidance to the team.

**Knowledge and experience**
- Experience in complex commercial contract management and procurement.
- A strong working knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act, and broader Commonwealth Procurement Rules and policies.
**Eligibility and other requirements**
**Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry you must be an Australian citizen.
**Security Clearance** - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
**Pre-employment Check** - Your suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement to undergo and satisfy a National Police Check, referee checks, character clearance and where required a pre-employment medical assessment, specified mandatory qualification(s) validation and a probation period of 6 months.
