Clerk Grade: 11/12 Employment Type: Temp, Full-time Hybrid vs In-office requirements This role sits within the Digital NSW Division in the ICT Digital Sourcing branchAbout the team We have an opportunity for a Principal Policy Officer to join the Supplier, Policy and Innovation Development team in the ICT Digital Sourcing branch for a period of 12 months to lead a policy team of 4, while the incumbent steps away to focus on 2 key transformation programs in the same portfolio. We are a central team that guides and supports NSW Government agencies in best practice sourcing of ICT and digital goods and services (ICT Procurement) at a whole of government level. The Principal Policy Officer leads the development and implementation of policies relating to ICT and Digital sourcing. This includes supporting all NSW Government agencies’ adoption of ICT sourcing frameworks and practices through advice, education, awareness and engagement programs, maintaining existing policies and developing new policies to keep pace with the rapidly evolving ICT and digital sector, generating insights to inform and assess progress against policies and supporting ICT and digital suppliers to connect with NSW Government buyers through the ICT Services Scheme. Your day-to-day The Policy portfolio adopts an agile approach and has a pipeline of initiatives to deliver evidence-based and customer-centric improvements. You will join a fast evolving space, providing timely and accurate policy advice whilst planning long-term policy development. You will lead and manage critical policy initiatives, communication channels and mechanisms for whole of Government ICT schemes and contracting frameworks. Using data and insights you will drive Whole of Government ICT policy, and navigate changes in close collaboration with, or communicating changes to, various stakeholders. • To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience in the development, writing, review, and updating of departmental information management and ICT policies and procedures in a large politically charged organisation. • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced portfolio, with a large volume of work and strong prioritisation focus • Proven ability to research and analyse complex issues, manage and interpret decision support information, and to effectively implement solutions. • Ability to lead and work within a collaborative and supportive environment by providing clear direction, articulating parameters and establishing professional working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external key stakeholders. • High level written communication skills with the ability to explains complex information using language appropriate for the audience’s level of knowledge, skill and experience in a succinct manner. • Experience in change management and communicationsSalary Grade 11/12 with the base salary for this role starting at 145,378 base plus superannuationClick Here to access the Role Description.
