Job Title: Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team.
* About the Role:
* The Support Worker will provide support to young people in need of alternative accommodation due to being unable to live with their parents or foster carers.
* The role involves working in a home-like setting and/or supported independent living (SIL) setting to Children and Young People in care.
Key Responsibilities:
* To work with team members to deliver Out of Home Care (OOHC) services.
* To develop and implement individualised plans to support the young person's needs.
* To build strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections.
* To advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families, providing cultural support and services.
* To participate in regular training and professional development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* A commitment to delivering high-quality support services to young people.
* An understanding of the issues that affect Aboriginal communities, societies, and cultures in NSW.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to undergo ongoing training and professional development.

* Cover Letter addressing the selection criteria.
* An updated resume including details of at least two recent work-related referees.
* Working with Children Check, Police History Check, First Aid/CPR Certificate, and current Driver's Licence.
