Data & AI Senior Consultant – Position Description

What You'll Do

* Design and deliver end‐to‐end analytics solutions—from problem framing and data acquisition to modelling, insight generation and executive‐level storytelling—for clients across multiple industries.
* Support the development of cloud platforms using AWS and Azure.
* Identify, acquire, synthesize and analyze relevant data, understanding relationships among multiple data sources and types, and organize this information to facilitate effective analysis.
* Develop robust data pipelines using tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, DataBricks, Data Factory, Redshift, and others.
* Apply machine learning or statistical methods (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, NLP, etc.) to real business problems.
* Develop advanced analytics and complex system models—including discrete event simulation, agent‐based modelling, systems dynamics and optimisation (using tools such as AnyLogic).
* Leverage LLMs and generative AI to deliver business value for clients and internal projects.
* Build dashboards that generate measurable business value and are designed for long‐term sustainability.
* Partner closely with client stakeholders to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, thought leadership and the growth of the analytics practice.

About You

* 2–5 years of prior consulting experience or a high performer seeking to transition from industry or government to consulting.
* Experience in health, mining, retail, procurement, logistics, supply chain or operations is highly desirable.
* Highly motivated with a strong work ethic, eager to solve complex problems using data and continuous learning.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings persuasively to non‐technical audiences.
* Willingness to travel within the country as required.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‐paced, multi‐task environment with strong attention to detail.
* Experience working in project environments and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
* Ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline‐driven situations.

Technical Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, physics, chemistry, analytics, etc.).
* Proficiency with Python, R, SQL or Alteryx for data manipulation, cleansing and modelling.
* Experience using visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks).
* Understanding and experience applying AI tools, machine learning and LLMs to solve problems.
* Experience developing simulation or optimisation models of complex systems is desirable but not required.

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $88,000.00
Maximum Pay: $121,000.00

The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs and an individual's location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
