Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing healthcare services to individuals in detention. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with colleagues, and contributing to the development of sustainable healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to detainees, including triaging, medication management, wound care, and immunisation.
* Collaborate effectively with general practitioners, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely access to appropriate healthcare services.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans that respect and acknowledge the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of detainees.
Requirements
* General unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
* At least five years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, including hands-on patient care in an operational setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in drug and alcohol-related health services.
