Site Account Manager
Primary Location: West Perth, WA, AU (Karratha, AU)
Introduction to the Role
The successful applicant will play a crucial part in building and maintaining active long‐term relationships with key decision makers at customer site level and continuously promote Metso's value‐adding offering. The candidate will create a healthy business with high customer satisfaction within the site accounts.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for delivering profitable business growth from allocated sites.
* Build relationships with key people at relevant sites and share those with the organisation, connecting key interfaces when and where needed.
* Focus on aftermarket business, yet identify and develop capex opportunities and convey customer requirements to capex sales teams, assisting with customer interface where needed.
* Plan and maintain full visibility of activities for any Metso function relating to the account.
* Seek and coordinate resources and channels for customer‐facing activities.
* Understand the relevant customer business and discuss Metso's value.
* Drive site sales activities with the cross‐organisational site account team, understanding customer capex and opex decisions and buying timetable.
* Drive account planning and implementation (strategy, relationships, site‐level budgeting, activity plan, sales roadmap and plan) as well as CRM activities relating to the account.
* Maintain and share information of installed base, performance and shutdown schedules and plans.
* Orchestrate customer satisfaction surveys and closed‐loop activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
* Support Accounts Receivable and payment collections.
* Serve as an active member of the market area Key Account team.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or Mechanical Trade Qualification (with relevant experience) or similar discipline.
* Sales experience and existing CRM usage is highly regarded.
* Transparent understanding of accounting procedures including profit and loss, budgets and gross margins.
* Intermediate level of computer literacy in MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Current motor vehicle licence and passport.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time by motor vehicle and commercial flights.
* Excellent problem‐solving, communication, negotiation and persuasive skills are a must for this role.
