The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and experienced clinician to join our management team at Port Macquarie Private Hospital. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the Anaesthetics Day Surgery and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, working closely with theatre floor managers to ensure efficient staff and resource management, with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies, procedures, and best practice.
Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services and Perioperative Services Manager, you will mentor and lead a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff. This role is suited to an individual driven to help others succeed.
Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of five (5) years’ post-graduate nursing experience, with at least three (3) in a perioperative setting
- Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager
- Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications highly regarded
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering, and performance management
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human, and capital resources

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
