An exciting opportunity has become available to join a globally recognised brand as an HR Advisor, based at their Mascot, Sydney site.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will support a large operational workforce of 650 employees. With a $600 million infrastructure investment underway and projected headcount growth, this is an ideal time to join a thriving business and build your capability in operational HR .
You will focus on employee relations, industrial relations, and stakeholder engagement while building strong operational partnerships with frontline and senior leaders. Over time, there is a clear opportunity to step into more strategic HR Business Partnering and succession planning, with the current HR Manager transitioning into a projects-focused internal role.
Key Exposure Areas:
* Conducting and leading workplace investigations and grievance management
* Supporting enterprise bargaining and managing employee representative committees
* Delivering employee engagement activities for a predominantly blue-collar workforce
* Advising and coaching senior operational managers on performance management and development
* Contributing to workforce design and succession planning initiatives
Profile
We are seeking a resilient, confident, and pragmatic HR professional who enjoys working on the frontline of a traditional industrial workforce.
You will ideally have:
* 3+ years' HR generalist experience in a blue-collar environment such as manufacturing, logistics, transport, or infrastructure
* The ability to relate to a traditional, long-tenured workforce (90% male, ageing demographic)
* Experience in performance management, employee investigations, and industrial relations (enterprise bargaining exposure is advantageous but not essential)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including formal drafting of employee communications
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
* A resilient and proactive approach, with strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the business
