Salary: £37,000 – £43,000 (depending on qualifications & experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:30 (flexibility required)
Additional: Weekend duty management on a rota, 5.6 weeks’ holiday (including bank holidays)
About The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Engineering Team Leader to support the General Manager and oversee the smooth running of day‑to‑day engineering operations at One Kensington Gardens. This role is vital in ensuring service excellence for our Residents and maintaining the high standards expected within our prestigious development. The role requires a hands‑on leader comfortable carrying out reactive works, diagnosing issues, and ensuring all engineering functions operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the Engineering Team, ensuring service excellence at all times.
* Lead, train, motivate, and support engineering staff in line with company standards.
* Carry out hands‑on engineering tasks, including reactive maintenance and diagnostics.
* Manage and coordinate external M&E contractors and 2 sub‑contracted Residence Engineers.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and statutory requirements.
* Support the General Manager with administrative duties related to engineering operations.
* Maintain equipment and systems, responding to evolving Residents’ needs through a multi‑skilled approach.
* Participate in the weekend duty management rota with other Team Leaders.
About You – Required qualifications/skills
* HVAC, BMS, and plumbing qualifications.
* Strong hands‑on engineering experience.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve engineering issues efficiently.
* Confidence overseeing contractor works and ensuring quality standards.
Preferred
* Electrical qualifications.
* Knowledge of swimming pool plant operations.
* Proactive, multi‑skilled engineer with excellent organisational abilities, strong communication, and confidence to manage both internal teams and external contractors.
