Teaching Service Position Information
Cowra High School is a comprehensive rural school with an increasing enrolment of 480 students, including approximately 25% Aboriginal students. The school is an integral part of the Cowra township, situated in the Central West of NSW. Students enrolled at Cowra High School come from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds. Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Technology mandatory (Years 7-8) and Industrial Technology-Timber and approval and / or willingness to teach Industrial Technology-Metal.
* Capacity or experience to use data to inform and develop improvement in student performance.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the departments Aboriginal Education policies.
Conditions
Successful applicants may be entitled to a recruitment bonus up to $20,000 (Conditions Apply). The Recruitment Bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus available for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE.
