Financial Operations Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Accountant to oversee the financial accounts, reporting, and accounting operations for our business. You will lead a small team and take ownership of accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Reconcile general ledger, petty cash, bank accounts and ensure month-end & year-end accounting is accurate
* Manage statutory requirements (PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax, BAS), journal entries, and depreciation/assets register
* Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, debtors, and follow up outstanding amounts
* Support payroll functions as required, and ensure timely payroll reconciliations
* Deliver accurate financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis for internal leadership and external stakeholders
* Maintain financial system integrity: recharging between entities, certifying insurance, updating asset write-offs, etc.
About You
* Diploma or degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience managing accounting functions for medium-to-larger companies, including multiple entities
* Strong skills in MYOB (or equivalent accounting software) and advanced Excel ability
* High attention to detail, strong reconciliation skills, and ability to meet deadlines
* Leadership capability: supervising small teams and coordinating across internal and external stakeholders
