Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction are maintained at a high standard. The role includes supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Supervise housekeeping staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
* Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back‐of‐house areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
* Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and hotel policies.
* Manage housekeeping inventory, including linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
* Address guest complaints and resolve housekeeping‐related issues promptly.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling of chemicals.
* Collaborate with other departments to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in English (both verbal and written) is essential.
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a hotel housekeeping environment.
* Strong training and coaching skills, with a proven ability to develop team members.
* Experience with Hotel Property Management Systems, specifically Oracle.
* Familiarity with Amadeus (HotSOS) Housekeeping Software is a plus.
* Proactive with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Ability to clearly convey information and ideas to others.
* Quick decision‐making ability, with a capacity to evaluate and choose the best course of action.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and in quick‐paced, high‐stress situations.
* Skilled at listening, understanding, and resolving concerns or issues raised by coworkers and guests.
* Capable of performing duties with attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy, and a cooperative attitude, with minimal supervision.
