Are you a passionate and motivated individual looking to pursue a career in Anaesthetics?

Are you interested in living by the beach on the beautiful NSW South Coast?

Then you could be the perfect Anaesthetist to join the professionals at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). We're looking for a qualified Anaesthetist who can:

* Support the development of anaesthetic services
* Support and facilitate a culture of learning and best practice
* Support and develop anaesthesia research within the department
* Commit to join our team for a minimum of 470 hours per annum
* Be confident working on a variety of cases including paediatric patients

Applications from Staff Specialists are welcome. Salary for permanent 1 FTE $262,376 - $354,479plus superannuation guarantee levy and any other applicable allowances as per the Staff Specialist State Award.

Staff Specialist's also have access to:

* Training, Education and Study Leave (TESL) – $38,000 and 25 calendar days and per year
* Salary packaging – less tax and more take-home pay
* Novated leasing – lease a car and pay for all running costs out of your pre-taxed salary (eligible full-time employees)
* Fitness Passport - discounted gym membership that both you and your family can enjoy (eligible employees)

For Visiting Medical Officers interested in the position, you will be expected to participate in reasonable on-call shared amongst your anaesthetic colleagues. Paediatric skills would be favourable.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Wollongong is located an hour's drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west.
