Key Responsibilities
* Own and maintain the Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) across Australian sites and products, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SQF, regulatory and customer requirements while promoting a strong food safety and quality culture.
* Lead, coach and develop FSQ Officers, and deliver or coordinate FSQ training and inductions to ensure ongoing policy and regulatory compliance.
* Lead external food safety and regulatory audits end‐to‐end, including scheduling, readiness, audit participation, evidence management, corrective actions and close‐out across Geelong and grove sites.
* Own the Master Verification Schedule (MVS) and verification program, including internal audits, gap assessments, mock and traceability exercises, calibration programs and HACCP reviews, ensuring timely close‐out of actions.
* Manage the customer service FSQ workstream, including customer portals, enquiries, complaints and service reports, leading investigations, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Manage FSQ non‐conformances, incidents and recalls, coordinating investigations, execution and clear stakeholder communication.
* Provide FSQ support to new product development activities, including supplier approval, risk assessments, label approval and alignment with regulatory and customer requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Food Science or related field, with 5+ years in QA supervision or 1–2 years in a management role.
* Strong knowledge of Food Safety & Quality standards (HACCP, SQF, private label).
* Proven ability to build strong cross‐functional relationships, listen actively and collaborate with teams to achieve shared outcomes.
* Highly detail‐oriented with strong prioritisation and deadline management skills.
* Proactive, self‐driven problem solver with a positive improvement mindset.
